Evenings of Reasoning

Date: Sunday, February 14, 2010
Time: 07:00 PM - 08:30 PM
Location: Adult 3 Classroom

On Sunday evening, February 14, we will begin our evening Apologetics Seminar.  This seminar is aimed at Christians and non Christian alike who may have questions about Christianity and it's claims, the reliability of the Bible, other religions, and any other questions that attendees may have.

This first session is a discussion of "Why Do Apologetics?"  In other words, why look for rational reasons to believe in Jesus Christ or the Bible?  Isn't Christianity all about faith and isn't genuine faith opposed to questioning and reasoning about our faith?  I will attempt to show you that reasoning about these most important matters in life is not only acceptable, it is biblical.  For Christians and non-Christian questions are not bad - they are reasonable and fair.  Christianity and the Bible will stand up to scrutiny and mature Christianity will not run from questions or skepticism.

From this introductory session we will move into a look at the reliability of the Bible, especially the New Testament.  We will also ask for questions and suggestions from the attendees for future studies and we will address these issues.

The format will be a presentation followed up with a time for questions and discussions.  If you have questions or would like more information please call or e-mail.  Pastor Bruce Miller 434-856-2314 or okmiller@juno.com.
