Children and Youth Programs

We are in the process of totally reinventing our children and youth programs. As is frequently the case in small churches we have hit some gaps in the ages of our children. We have several former youth members who are now in college. Most of our children are in the ages of 3 - 8 years. The parents and volunteers are meeting to come up with the best plan to address the interests and needs of our families.

We do now have Children's Church twice a month during the worship service. We also have G. A.s once a month at this same time. We are grateful for these two programs which, together with our nursery, provide for the needs of children during our regular worship services.

We have just begun our planning for our Community Vacation Bible School for this summer. Four churches plan this together and of course all churches are invited to join in. This year the VBS will be held at Chestnut Level. We are excited to be hosting this and look forward to a special time of providing Bible training and and some fun for all of the neighborhood children this summer. Dates will be set soon but right now I can tell you that June looks like the month. The more children that we have the more they enjoy it so please come and bring your neighbors.

We are actively seeking young families with children and this is a great time for them to get in on the ground floor of planning and beginning our programs in these areas.
